Bankside Gallery: Preston Road take over part two

Open today and tomorrow, the Preston Road take over part two which is part of the Bankside Gallery.  We went along to check it out and we captured a lot of photographs and some video clips, keep reading to find out out thoughts.

About the take over;

This is the second Preston Road takeover Bankside Gallery have hosted.

The council have been kind enough to donate 22 derelict houses which are soon going to be demolished – these will be transformed on the weekend by more than 100 artists from around the UK.

This time we’ll have more artists, more houses & a great selection of local DJs, good food & a bar.

We came across this painted onto the pavement in a few locations and we couldn’t resist getting our feet in the picture as we have a few photographs of our feet as a family, Geocaching, on the beach and bowling. Another to add to the collection.

What we thought of the take over:

Jen says; “Its beautiful to see different artists creating something out of nothing, I loved seeing the personality splashed onto the walls”

Rob says; “Interesting project, these big spaces been temporarily turned into visual pieces of art”

Sophie says; “I thought it was amazing because I got to see lots of people create inspiring paintings”

Riley says; “I think that some houses are very good with the graffiti, my favourite one was the sunflower and bee one”

Robyn says; “A banana one”
